Discussions of suicide or self-harm that are deemed negative and therefore potentially injurious to others are also not permitted.
2. No use of explicit, obscene or vulgar language or images and/or messages, including racist remarks.
3. No advertising or links to advertising or "Spam" is permited (including signatures).
4. No use of multiple usernames. Please register and use only one username for the forums. Posting under multiple user accounts will result in administrative action (ie. banning).
5. If it shouldn’t be viewed by minors, then it shouldn’t be posted to the forums or chat rooms. This is a public, family-friendly forum. In addition, if something would not be considered “work safe” (to a boss or co-worker), then it shouldn’t be posted.
6. Do not disrespect moderators. Be respectful in both the forums and any private communications with moderators. Moderators are volunteers that donate many, many hours of their own time to help in the forums and chat rooms. Violations of this rule will not be tolerated.
7. No irrelevant or off-topic posts. Posts which are not relevant to the forum topic may be deleted at the moderator's discretion.
8. Use good judgement. NEVER rely on information or opinions exchanged via the forums or chat rooms to replace proven documentations
Forums - Cannot Access McAfee website
Sticky (26 posts so far) | | If you are a Comcast customer and cannot access the New user or Existing user log in for your McAfee software you can try the following
1. click start and search
2. Now the search window will come up, under Search but any or all of the criteria type the word host
And under look in select Local Hard Drive C:;D: if applicable and click on search
Once it is finish searching look for host and lmhosts, right click on each and select the option Delete
This might be caused by remainders or trace files of previous virus or spyware occurrences on your system, or by a virus or spyware application that was installed on your system before the virus definition update with removal information was downloaded. Once its delete it will allow you to access websites related to security software/program
