7. No irrelevant or off-topic posts. Posts which are not relevant to the forum topic may be deleted at the moderator's discretion.
8. Use good judgement. NEVER rely on information or opinions exchanged via the forums or chat rooms to replace proven documentations

| | This FIX.reg is a work around for lot of issues, like the customer Is not able to use Limewire, Scottrade, Itunes etc..,
Before using this make sure you tried this
a. Check for 3rd party security software and older versions of McAfee
b. Check for the version of McAfee installed
c. Disable Mcafee Firewall and check
d. Disable Phishing filter in McAfee
e. Check McAfee Firewall Permissions (Internet & Network> Configuration> Firewall> Advanced> Program Permissions
f. Add Lime wire in the program permissions and grant full access
g. Restore Firewall Settings
h. Check in Safemode with Networking to verify if it work, if doesn’t work it may not be a McAfee issue (because McAfee doesn’t work in safemode with Networking)
If still doesn’t work…… follow the below troubleshooting after backing up the registry
i. please find the below listed information to create the Registry file which can take care of the issues with regard to Limewire, Scottrade, Itunes etc..,
1. Open a new notepad
2. Copy and paste the following information in the notepad

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\McAfee\Redirector\Ports]

3. Click on “File” in the Menu bar of the notepad window and then click on “Save As”
4. Type the file name as “fix.reg” (It can also be any file name but the extension should be .reg)
5. In the “Save as type” field, select “All Files”
6. Click “Save” and complete the saving process
7. Go back to the location where you save the file and look for the same registry file with the name by which you saved it
8. Double click on it and run it, click “Yes” if you get any warning message that says “Are you sure if you want to add this entry to the registry”
9. Retry the application (Limewire, Scottrade, Itunes etc..,) which had problems
10. It should work or you can also try to restart the computer and try
