Forums - pop-ups

after cx installed mcafee suite on his/her pc pop-ups keep on popping up almost 3 out of 10 calls agents recives this kind of call

even pop up blocker is turned on for the suite and tool bar and under internet options and tried to searched for the program pop up but could not find it almost every TS steps hav been exausted even the feared registry deletion for the pop-up program( as of now cx is advised to get local tech )

| | pop-ups can be caused by a lot of things, usual cause is potential spy ware or virus
possible that pc is already infected b4 installation of mcafee,
also try to do a scan scan before touching the registry
basing on your statement above it seems that you haven't tried to scan the pc
another thing than you can do is to clear the browser, temp folders, and restore browser back to defaulst.
take note of the pop ups if they are about health care or loans and check if theres any related program under add remove program and try to un-install it
downloading a new browser might also help
locating files and folders related tot he pop up under
documentsandsettings\user\applicationdata
might also help
removing third party tool bars can also resolve this issue
